Ariba’s Makeover

Last month, beauty and lifestyle blogger Ariba Pervaiz (@ariba_pervaiz on Instagram and Youtube) asked our team to transform 3 bedrooms in her suburb home where she recently moved from downtown Toronto. Each room needed more colour, less clutter, and to feel cozy and most importantly- be functional. In three days the three-bedroom transformation was done! Mom and Dad’s Room
Our goal was to make a subtle yet big impact. A change in drapes and blush bedding added the pop of colour this space needed, and the layering gave it a luxurious feel. Visual interest was brought in by hanging a large mirror and two pieces of art that fit the parent’s style. To complete the space, matching side tables and lamps were placed symmetrically on either side of the bed adding just the right amount of elegance! So humbling to see her parents reaction who truly loved the space.
The Kids Room
Don’t we all love bunk beds, but small rooms and giant furniture don’t always work- well we had a plan! Our first move was to exchange the heavy pieces for lighter ones and organize the toys by category. Next, we changed the bedding, upgraded the drapery, and used many of the toys as the décor! A corkboard for them to hang drawings on and a yellow, blue, and pink cloud wall installation made it feel right at home for these kiddos.
The Master Bedroom
Ariba and her husbands’ room was our biggest challenge. It felt bland and needed a
lot of organization support. We changed the placement of a lot of furniture so each corner could have a purpose. Ariba creates a lot of her content for her channel and social media accounts in her room, so it is super exciting to be part of many of creations. The make-up station needed major functionality, hint of glamour and a whole lot of make up products to die for! Baby is still in the room so her crib needed some uplifting and of course the master bed should be the oasis in any home where the couple can feel relaxed and rejuvenated! We worked with a masculine colour palette to keep the room gender neutral so heavy greys, furs and hints of metallics was the perfect mix. Ariba and Ken’s reaction was priceless and we highly recommend watching the video on youtube!
